DD862 Type Single-Phase Kilowatt Hour Meter
1. Purpose
Measurement-purpose single-phase AC active Kilowatt Hour Meter, applicable in environment of -10°C~+50°C, relative humidity≤85%, and no any corrosive gases, dust, sand, salt, fog, dew and mold fungus.
2. Structure characteristics
2.1 China uniform design.
2.2 Electromagnetic components are placed horizontally, and electromagnetic part adopts split pattern.
2.3 Voltage core is inserted with half-seal pattern.
2.4 Current components adopt secondary compensation for wide range of load characteristics.
2.5 Full-seal voltage coil withstands instantaneous high-voltage shock.
2.6 Bearing part adopts dual-gem structure or magnetic protrusion bearing structure for long service life of meters.
2.7 Double ends of head wheel spindle on counter adopts steel and jade structure, to reduce friction and keep data stable.
2.8 Base is made of Aluminum and Au pressure casting, with high mechanical strength.
2.9 Dual-stage AlNiCodamp magnet steel, with high coercive force and stable magnetic performance.

Principle of mechanical Kilowatt Hour Meter
When Kilowatt Hour Meter is connected into circuit, electromagnetic flux produced by voltage coil and current coil goes through the disc, and this electromagnetic flux distribute unevenly in time and space, which induces eddy current on disc. The interaction between electromagnetic flux and eddy current produces rotating torque to make the disc rotate, and braking action of magnet steel make rotation speed of disc uniform. The electromagnetic flux is proportional to voltage and current in circuit, and rotation speed of disc is proportional to load current. The rotation of disc is transferred to counter through worm gear, so indicated number is the power consumed actually in circuit.
